is punk dying? i don't think so but the scene seems to be fading from all those gay pop punk bands.

| Punk dead? Nah! It depends on where you're at. I think there will always be an edgy punk scene that is off limits for the kiddies. Some stuff will never make it onto MTV or free radio but, isn't that what we like about it in the first place? Bubblegum punk and mall punk will always have an audience but, there are still a ton of relatively new bands out there that are more edgy. Alot of the bands on Fat Wreck are a good example and there are other labels that are keepin it real like Epitaph, Saddle creek, and a shitload of other indy labels. If anything I would say that punk is thriving because right now the garage band sound is becoming increasingly popular. Here's another way to look at it. It's a whole lot easier today than it was 10 years ago for a simple punk band out in the middle of nowhere to produce some tracks of there own on there PC with a simple audio editing application. |

| i think punk rock bands are getting a litle forgoten. now people are listening to some other kinds of music like pop. but punk WILL NEVER DIE!!!! |
