Punk rock has become way too trnedy,if you don't believe me turn on MTV..Whatever happened to real punk like nofx,dead kennedys,and millions of dead cops?Todays punk isn't against anything or standing up for anything,it's just a bunch of fucking pop ballads...

i dont think punk is dead i think people are including non punk bands when they talk about punk people are expanding the genere of punk rock and including bands like simple plan, good charolette, and other stupid bands in which case the non punk ones outnumber the real punk rock bands
no matter what mtv says those bands will never be punk |

No new "Punk" or "Punk rock" is being generated... so it is dormant/dead/sleeping etc. Even Fat Wreck Chords isn't putting out "Punk" aside from the Wolves... Rancid puts out an album once every 4-5 years... Where'd Lagwagon go? The new Decendants sucked... Bad Religion is due for a new one as well, but even they've "matured". Nothing will sound like it used to, and we're just going to have to live with it, or learn to play shitty guitar and sing even shittier

punk is not dead. it is moving away from the limelight. away from you people. away from the warped tour. and especially away from the internet. the only way punk can survive is if its underground. with the internet these days. nothing is underground. sooo... they have started to drop the internet. i know none of you believe me because you see all your favorite shitty bands on fucking myspace. but there is an anti internet movement out there headed by UTI. and that is where punk resides these days. well thats my opinion.

Actually punk is pretty sleep deprived on a tuesday...the only vaguely punkish thing on my radio is radio 1 punk show 2-4 tuesday morning...damnit my listen again thingamy wont work.
speaking of which is there any radio station/program around for decent punk music???]

Thanks for that...I've been listening to that since I was like 12 years old or something it was the Lockup in those days I think...I don't know anyone who is into punk music at all and I just listened to it beacuse I hadn't finished my homework when it came on...and yeah I'm into the music not the lifestyle, whenever I go into music shops I constantly get "oh, you don't look the type..."
